
Dóra Jóhannsdóttir is an Icelandic writer, director, producer and actor.
A graduate of The Iceland Academy of the Arts, Dóra acted in numerous theater, film, and television productions.
She studied improv and sketch-writing UCB NY and The Second City Chicago.
She´s the founder of Improv Iceland (est. 2015).
Dóra was creator and co-writer of the TV series „Húsó“ (e. „The School of Housewives“), Húsó (under pseudonym „Hekla Hólm“). The series was nominated for the Nordic Series Script Award in 2025.
Dóra was a co-writer for the TV series "Stellu Blómkvist 2," nominated for the Edda awards (The Icelandic Film Academy Awards).
Dóra was headwriter of Iceland´s most popular TV show Áramótaskaupið in 2017 og 2019 and directed the show in 2022.
She has held over 100 lectures on creativity, well-being, and the principles of improv in life and work.
Dóra founded Djók Productions in 2023.
